Quite unbelievably, it’s been over 365 days since we first flung open our minimalist doors at MRS W, and what a ride it’s been. From our effortlessly curated space in Whitley Bay (a mere 25 minutes outside of Newcastle upon Tyne FYI) we’ve had the pleasure of bringing many a MRS W bride’s sartorial vision to life as she drinks in the luxurious, welcoming vibe of our North East bridal studio and indulges in our complementary macarons and champagne (yep, that’s how we roll here).
We’ve lived the highs (we’re talking that very first sale, every five star review, every recommendation and THAT feature in Vogue) and surfed the lows. But, one thing's for certain: with every day that passes, time only serves to reiterate that our Northern bridal studio with its coastal location and highly curated selection of pivotal international bridal designers (meet BON BRIDÉ, Lola Varma, Bowie Rae, Newhite, Vagabond and Prea James if you haven’t already) is something truly unique.
The MRS W bride is effortless. She’s modern. She’s confident and cool, laid back and down to earth. But, most importantly, she isn't afraid to express her own personality and wear what she wants...
From day one I wanted a bridal studio that delivered not only on a meticulously curated collection of independent international bridal designers, but a first class customer service and a coveted fashion-led vibe.
After years spent soaking in the relaxed lifestyle that comes with living in Melbourne, Australia, the coastal town of Whitley Bay was calling. And, with its bustling atmosphere and collection of independent coffee shops, restaurants, lifestyle stores and bars, it also made for the ideal location for MRS W and our enticing mix of achingly cool bridal threads.
After a hefty renovation process (we transformed the Whitley Bay space from a former estate agent into what you see today) and a lengthy search for the perfect shade of off-white paint, MRS W was ready to receive brides from across the UK.
Be cool. Be confident. Be conscious and have fun with it - these are the things we’ve learnt from you, our MRS W brides...
365+ days in and the response to our engaging blend of independent international bridal designers has been phenomenal.
At MRS W bridal we really value fashion-led collections and design, from the understated brilliance of BON BRIDÉ and the bold, explosive style of Bowie Rae, to the premium design and authenticity that we seek with every wedding dress designer we stock.
Our impeccable offering of modern wedding dresses immediately appeals to the fashion-forward bride. The bride who tirelessly searches for that unique piece of bridal wear; the gown that breathes bridal cool or the A.B. ELLIE X HDWR Freshwater Pearl Strands that quench her thirst for a fresher take on those more traditional bridal accessories that don’t ignite the fashion fire within.
It has been far from easy, but knowing we bring something unique to the North East really inspires us to do more...
And, BOY do we have some big things coming up at MRS W this 2023.
We’re beyond thrilled to announce that we’ll be welcoming a new designer to our rails: the renowned Prea James. Arriving in-store this coming June (and with a Prea James trunk show hosting the Australian designer’s new Riviera collection in April) you’ll definitely want to add MRS W to your Newcastle bridal boutique must-visit list ASAP.
